What we are
COACHING
We help you think through an issue and uncover what’s really important to you.
GUIDANCE
We step through your options and explore risks and benefits together.
INFORMAL RESOLUTION
We provide facilitation support for informal resolution and restorative processes.
A ‘SPEAK UP’ OPTION
We won’t report your concerns to your organisation without your consent. We may, with your permission, anonymously share issues and themes with your organisation.
What we are not
COUNSELLING
Restorative Services does not replace any Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) or counselling services.

MANDATORY
Any work we do together is entirely voluntary at all times, and designed to meet the needs of all involved.

What you can expect from us:
ADVICE
You may simply be struggling to understand your options, and want some support thinking through what you need.
We’ve worked with your organisation to understand their internal options and policies, and we bring our added experience of external pathways and options to help answer your questions.
-
Contact us directly to talk through your issues.
We offer private, confidential guidance and coaching to help you manage the issues you are concerned about, and to identify your needs.
Then, we support you to have those needs met.
-
◦ difficult working relationships
◦ conflict
◦ performance concerns
◦ challenging environments
◦ issues relating to appointment or promotion processes
◦ experienced or observed instances of bullying, harassment or discrimination
◦ sexual harassment and harm
◦ reintegration and relationship repair following investigations or disciplinary proceedings
-
Contacting us to discuss your concerns does not affect your ability to pursue any other options under your organisation’s formal policies and procedures. We instead offer you an opportunity to discuss these options—as well as informal resolution options—on a confidential basis.
We will not participate in any formal processes relating to workplace issues, such as investigations or disciplinary issues.
RESOLUTION
You may need some support working through tensions, harm, or conflict with a colleague. We offer a supported restorative pathway to resolving these issues.
-
Restorative processes put participants in a harmful event or conflict at the centre of the plan for what should be done to respond.
We seek first to understand and acknowledge the harm, and then to put it right.
These processes seek to balance the needs of all who are impacted by a harmful event or conflict through processes that preserve the safety and mana of all involved.
Every step of the process is voluntary and confidential.
-
1. Meet with a facilitator privately and confidentially to talk through what happened, how you've been affected, and what a restorative process might offer towards repairing and preventing further harm. Sometimes a co-facilitation model is used, so there may be 2 facilitators involved. You will be invited to bring along a support person of your choosing at every step of the process.
2. Work with the facilitator(s) to identify your needs for repair, and put a plan into place to meet those needs. Some example repair plan items include...
◦ Emotional support through coaching and/or counselling options
◦ Conflict coaching
◦ Facilitated or supported dialogues with others involved in your concern, letter-writing support
◦ Repeat prevention efforts; support strategising how to prevent reoccurrence
◦ Planning support for harm mitigation
◦ Tangible harm repair towards practical needs
◦ Training and education
Because Restorative Processes are intended to help meet your needs, the process can be adapted in many ways to make it work for you.
-
All restorative processes are reviewed by facilitators and participants for the following requirements in order to proceed:
1. Participation is voluntary for all parties,
2. All parties take responsibility for the impacts of their own actions, and
3. No further harm is likely to be caused in the course of the process.
What happens with your information when you use our services…
Your personally identifiable information, such as your name, contact details and the nature of your issue, is confidential. Information you share with us will be used to respond to your concerns and provide you with appropriate guidance.
We may report and make recommendations to your organisation on themes arising from the service, but this will always be done in a way that maintains confidentiality, unless you request otherwise.
The only exception to our confidentiality is if we believe there is a serious risk of physical harm or health and safety, in which case we may take appropriate steps.
